Yin Yoga is a gentle yoga practice born of the encounter between the postures of Hatha yoga (India) and the principles of Taoism (China).
A slow, gentle, introspective and powerful practice in which postures are held for several minutes and supported by props.
It's a functional rather than aesthetic a approach, where the focus is on substance rather than form, since by staying in the postures for a long time, you stretch all the connective tissues (fascias) in depth.
